Part-time English as an Addtional Language TeachersWestman Immigrant Services is accepting resumes and cover letters from English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers wishing to teach in our programs. Although fall positions have tentatively been filled, there is often a last minute addition or staffing change to be made. Qualified teachers with experience teaching English as an additional language and/or with TESL Certification are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with the Canadian Language Benchmarks and experience teaching adults with limited English language proficiency, as well as experience living and teaching English in a cross cultural environment, are desirable assets.
Daytime classes are offered in the mornings, 8:45 to 11:15 a.m. and mid-day, from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Evening classes at Westman Immigrant Services are two evenings a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Saturday morning classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
