How to Book an Interpreter
Booking requests can be made by:
Phone: (204) 727-2276 and ask to book an interpreter with the BCLC
Email: Complete this form (click here to download the form) and email the completed form to bclcbookings@hotmail.com (include “Interpreter Booking” in the subject line)
Fax: (204) 725-4786
In person: 1001 Pacific Avenue (bookings can be made at the main reception)
*Any requests that require an interpreter to travel outside the city of Brandon to provide service should be made directly by phone or in person.
Appointments can be booked during Westman Immigrant Services’ office hours:
Monday - Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
*As much notice as possible is appreciated when booking appointments
Information required when booking an interpreter through the BCLC
- Your name and contact details
- The date, time and duration of the appointment or meeting
- The nature of the appointment or meeting, with any background information that might be helpful (any relevant information, e.g. Doctor’s name, judge’s name, case number, etc.)
- Location (full address)
- Any relevant paperwork that would be helpful for the interpreter. (These could include any that may need to be verbally translated. These should be sent in advance to the interpreter c/o BCLC (1001 Pacific Avenue)
- Information that will assist the interpreter in preparing for sector specific language that they may or may not be familiar with
